**Overview**
**Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Neonatal Physician Assistant Opportunity available in the Ocala, Florida area.** AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking dynamic and energetic provider to work in our Level II NICU. The provider in collaboration with the neonatology will cover the 12 bed level 2 NICU at Ocala along with the newborn service.
**General Summary:**
+ The APP is responsible for providing care for NICU and Newborn patients within the scope of licensure and within the supervising physician's scope of practice
+ Evaluate patients, perform procedures, develop treatment plans, order and interpret labs, x-rays and other diagnostic studies per specialty guidelines and under the guidance of the Neonatologist
+ Communicate with parents, other specialists and among NICU team
+ Monitoring specialized equipment, including incubators and ventilators
+ Providing education and support to patients' families regarding neonatal, intensive and, postpartum care
+ Dispensing medications under collaborative agreement with a physician
+ Performing diagnostic tests and other procedures, such as intubation and blood draws
+ Ensuring proper feeding and basic care
**Schedule Details:**
+ 24-hour shifts (8am-8am)
**Required Education and Experience:**
+ Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies with Neonatal Certification (required)
+ 1-2 years of experience in the NICU as an RN (highly preferred)
+ 1-2 years of experience in the NICU as a Neonatal APRN or Neonatal PA-C (preferred but not required)
**Required Licensure and Certification:**
+ Must hold a valid Florida APRN or PA License with Neonatal certification
+ Certification through ANCC, or other nationally recognized certifying body
+ BLS, ACLS and PALS certification
