Nurse Practitioner

Applications are now being accepted for a Temporary Full-Time Nurse Practitioner to work in the Emergency department. The successful applicant will be required to work contintental days Monday to Sunday. Please note, this is a temporary position scheduled to begin on January 26, 2026, and scheduled to end on or before January 25, 2027.

Education

• Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses in the Extended Class with a Master’s degree preferred

• Active member of the RNAO, NPAO Chapter

• Current BCLS required

• Palliative care training required

• Current NRP certification or will pursue within 6 months

Skills and Ability

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge and commitment to client centered care model

• Crisis management skills

• Excellent physical assessment skills

• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team

Work Experience

• Two years recent experience in Acute care nursing is preferred

Other

• Good attendance record and a level of fitness appropriate for the demands of the position is required
